Programming support for Magneti Marelli ECUs in naturally aspirated VAG vehicles: 1.6 CFNA, CFNB, CLRA, CLSA and CFZA; and 1.4 CGGB, CLPA and CLPB.

Magneti Marelli 7GV (FID: 5)

Hardware: Infineon SAK-XC2785X-104F80L; internal memory: 832Kb.

OBD2 functions: read FullFlash and write calibrations. Supported engines: 1.6 CFNA, CFNB, CLRA and CLSA; 1.4 CGGB, CLPA and CLPB.

Calibration-area programming takes approximately 3 minutes.

Magneti Marelli 7GVE (FID: 71)

Hardware: Infineon SAK-XC2xxx; internal memory: 832Kb.

OBD2 functions: read FullFlash and write calibrations.

Supports 1.4 CGGB engines.

Magneti Marelli 9GV (FID: 7)

Hardware: NXP SPC5634; internal memory: 1.5 Mb.

Used in FlexFuel VAG vehicles with 1.6 CFZA engine.

BSL functions: FullFlash read/write, checksum correction and EEPROM read/write.

Open the ECU and make the bench connections specified in the instruction manual.

Adapter limitation: Marelli 9GV does not operate with every J2534 interface. The developer lists CarDAQ Plus, Bosch VCM2 and Mongoose as tested and supported.

Magneti Marelli 4HV (FID: 17)

Applications: VAG 1.4 BUD, BXW, CGGA and CGGB petrol engines. K-Line functions: read FullFlash and write the calibration area.

Hardware: ST10F296; internal memory: 832 Kb.

Activation requires a BitSoftware USB dongle. Enter your existing dongle serial number in the serial number field at checkout.
